Since I spent a bigger amount of time reasarching on how to make the Validity fingerprint reader (VFS451) on my HP ProBook 4520s working together with Windows 10 and its 'Hello' login function, I want to share my solution. Normally, I am only used to fiddle around with device drivers on Linux, but this time Microsoft left its customers without support.
Hp Probook 6570b Fingerprint Driver Windows 10 64 Bit
Product: ProBook 6570b Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit) the fingerprint scanner option is unavailable after upgrading to windows 10 even though the drivers have been installed and its also present on my driver list. This is still the standard Microsoft driver, but for the VFS495 scanner. I then had to install HP ProtectTools Security Manager (for Windows 8.1). I now have fingerprint scanning to sign on. What is weird is that 'Windows Hello' still does NOT show in. .Press Windows+I to open Settings.Select Update & Security.Go to View Update History.Click on Uninstall Updates.Right-click each and select Uninstall.Restart your device. Try running Windows 10 as well in Safe Mode to check if the issue is not caused by a 3rd party program. To run Windows 10 in Safe Mode, check the article below. In any event, you need the driver for the fingerprint reader. Windows Hello provides the user interface but you still need a device driver for the fingerprint reader. My guess is you would find that it appears as a problem device in device manager and Windows Update will not give you a driver. Here is the Windows 8.1 driver supplied by HP. Ihave a hp probook 6560b lap.i want to configure the fingerprint scanner.but tried varius methods and drivers.i installed simple paas also.but it tells please configyre your fingerprint driver.i want to know the right driver for me.
Hp Probook 6570b Camera Driver
I have read several forum and blog post about fingerprint reader issues on Windows 10, but nothing seemed to work. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the driver in the device manager, but without success. I also found different driver version on the internet and tried them. Some seemed to work for one scan, but failed on the second. Thus, I assume that with these drivers both scans didn't match, even the scan result was usable.
However, finally I found a driver that is working. The proper version is: 4.4.234.00.
Windows Hello could finally register my fingerprints and the login is working without problems.

You can find this drivers on the HP servers http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp58501-59000/sp58869.exe
After downloading and unpacking the driver, you can just manually install it in the device driver.
How you can do this, you can find here.
